Old Stuff - Chasmosaurus Riders

Also done in Japan in 2005. Ghetto colored pencil.

Old Stuff - Smilodon Warrior

Maybe the second or third watercolor i've done.
A warrior dude from the neolithic. He uses the pelt, teeth and claws of the beast he killed as his armament, channeling a furious beast-man rage as he beats up homo sapiens, mammoths and evil spirits. So cool!
I love his shiny swirly-muscles. he could be a luchador.

Old Stuff - Hindi Woman

I had fun with new colors on this one.

Old Stuff - Tengu

While i was in Japan, i found myself drawing a lot more from Japanese mythology and such. Here is one spin on the nefarious and pesky air goblins, Tengu.
Done on a 8 x 5.5 " sketch page with a 100 yen colored pencil set.

Old stuff - 466

A quick digital sketch of my old apartment. It was one of the best gatherings of good people, warm associations, and fun times.

Snarpledontid.

a little tribute sketch to Terryl Whitlach and her incredible beasts. She is one of my favorite artists because she has such a rich understanding of the life of Earth, and so is able to create fictional animals that are totaly unique but still follow the "rules". You may know her work from the star wars prequels, or her amazing book, The Katurran Odyssey.

Lizard Man Lava Danger!!!

I am colorblind, so i have to approach color very carefully. but i think i pulled this one off. Plus i captured some peril, some adventure, and some story. there's something going on with this lizard man- than just some crony, he's a character. He may not be the main character or even necessarily a "good guy" in the plainest of terms, but he can certainly be a protagonist.

I also feel like this could be a magic card image or something.
